My family and I have been down the lake a few times recently, and it may soon be time for some more car camping, and so I have put together a camp kitchen. One that can easily be thrown on a trolley for the beach, or easily moved around in the back of a car or van.I have looked at building a 'chuck box', and these are great portable kitchen projects, but not as compact and portable as I want.I got this idea from a post on the internet.
Instead of using a metal tool box, like the project I copied, as the base (very heavy at 8.2kg) I used a lighter plastic one (6.3kg).Contents of the top section are a canister stove, two gas canisters, two stainless steel cutting boards which are 2mm thick and pack easy (use as cutting board and shelf). and a nesting cook set (fry pan, pot, and kettle). Drawer one, utensils, chopsticks, spatula, peeler etc. lighters, etc. and a side windshield for the cooker.Drawer two condiments, spices, sugar, coffee, in mini ziploc bags or mini packets liberated from fast food places. Additionally mini bottles of cooking oil, soy sauce, and dish soap. Drawer three. Small folding bucket for washing up, wash up sponge scourer, small titanium plates, and folding cups and folding bowl. I used titanium just because we had them I am not a gram weenie. But they are very flat and fit in the drawer easily.

Strangely enough Phil, I thought of you before posting.
Must be all those chats you had with people about bacon butties at Wicksteed.  :-))

NB, the canister stove is one of those compact ones, that takes either the small butane canister, or has the full size canister protruding beyond the back when you plug it in.
