Just bought my 1st 3D Printer :)
« on: December 16, 2025, 01:23:01 am »

well, after 18 months of putting it off, i went ahead and purchased my 12st 3D printer, went with the Bambu H2S combo as this will fit my needs as it has a large build plate and seems up there in terms of plug & play.

Had it a couple weeks so far & im very impressed with it! over the years ive had a tinker with CAD programs but im still a "noob" in this area, ive been playing with Tinkercad a lot & you can actually do quite a lot with this program when you delve deeper under the skin its quite a powerful tool :) will post some pics soon of what ive made so far incl a Stak/nav lamps/table/chair/hatches etc for my 1/12 tid! :)

You will find a few model-boat oriented printable .STLs on the EeZebilt site included in the 'full kits' pages. For example,  http://eezebilt.tk/Seakit.html or http://eezebilt.tk/OSAkit.html . They are all free, and obviously can be sized to any required scale. I'd be happy to put contributions up if anyone wants to produce any.

I have done a Mk13 torpedo with the Mk1 roll-off launcher if anyone's interested...

The Bambu is a filament printer - the STLs I produce were designed for a resin printer, which typically has a smaller build base but is capable of more detail. I would be interested in feedback from anyone who prints them using a filament machine...
