Hi All,I am building this model by Billings kits, brought at a jumble sale! "That's another story". There appears to be no point of reference to mark on the hull where the ballast keels fit and they also have to follow the shape of the hull. Could someone please let me know how you solved this problem. They would appear to be crucial to the way the model behaves in the water, with regard to how the model performs.It would seem that the ballast keels need to be bent in two directions at the same time to follow the hull form and then fitted in the right place on both sides of the hull !Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

When you refer to ballast keels; are you mistaken and thinking about bilge keels on the outside of the hull?   I have a drawing which may be able to assist you in the positioning of the bilge keels.

Hi JohnThey are the bilge Keels or Ballast keels as the fit over the ballast tanks. depends which language you use! either way they are a right swine to fit to a plastic hull and they have to be in the right place.DaveK
