myhobbystore.com   Look in boat plans, Victoria seems to ring a bell, a Thames type saloon launch, they did a molded hull for it and a steam plant drawing for it.

Kingston Mouldings do an excellent hull and plan at 41 inches. See: http://www.kingstonmouldings.com/pd1904windermere.html

If you contact Robin Whitmarsh he will be happy to advise you regarding currently available suitable steam plants.

Hi Mook, not sure if you use ebay but its worth a look now and again as you may come across the items you need in dribs and drabs which makes it a little more
affordable and can be bought over a period of time.
There are even complete set ups now and again, though these would require collection due to there frail nature but worth it if the price is right eh!

Have you any thoughts on exactly what you want in way of steam plant! there is a vast array of quality plants out there, ACS Engineering for one and then John hemmens
which has been mentioned, if you are really feeling flush this christmas have a look at Stuarts site who have launched something from the Cheddar Models Stable....the list
goes on, so have a look and decide what type of engine and boiler you require then do some window browsing which I think is the best way to relax and take in what is on
the market ok.
Enjoy your new venture into steam, here's to a few burnt fingers and an oily hull too!
Full steam ahead

Have a look on e-bay , I have had a few bargins of late for new steam plants made by Cheddar all in box un assembled Nad a third of the original new price £200 - 300 I have also been Lucky to get two Martin Howe's and baylis kits at a fration of the price all un touched so steam does not have to be dear, within the last week there was a nice plant I thing it went for under £300. and spares are again available if you are unlucky enough to need them as they are very reliable plants to have.

Hi Peter, just read your post and you sure are one lucky chap indeed. I went to the MHB Website and had a quick gander at what was
for sale and the Topaz seems a good size.
So my next question would be if you have any of them there kits left unstarted then put me at the top of the list when selling it ok, thanks.

I wish I could get hold of them bargains, you certainly have all the luck, tell me did they come with steam plants or not?
I think I may just have a quick browse and see what is on offer these days, maybe something extra from Santa!!!

Cheers
