Warship's main armament.

  :) :)
I am attempting to build my first Warship which is based on the full plan by Glynn Guest in the Model Boat Mag in 2004.
I have no problem in the actual build of the ship, just its guns and particular the main Armament guns of about 10/12inch size.
The model will be based on a Colony/Fiji class cruiser from WWII.
Does anybody know if there are any drawings around that can give me ideas regarding the Turrets.

I assume your talking about the model Tanganyika which is intended for stand off scale. The build article give some names of the real ships:

                           Mysore or Nigeria
                           Gambia
                           Quebec or Uganda
                           Ontario  or Minotaur
                           Colonel Bolognesi or Ceylon
                           Alimirante Grau or Newfoundland


Try googling some of these names for pictures

Wikipedia do a brilliant list of British World War 2 ships. They can be fund by class. O0

According to http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNBR_6-50_mk23.htm Fiji ("Colony") class was armed with 6"/50 (15.2 cm) BL Mark XXIII in three-gun turrets.

Similar guns were fitted to Leander, Perth, Arethusa, Southampton ("Town"), Edinburgh ("Modified Town"), Ceylon (Modified "Colony") and Swiftsure classes. So, a visit to HMS Belfast should give you all the details you need.
