How many projects is too many?
« on: January 23, 2008, 10:19:20 pm »

I looked around the 'office' tonight and had a count up.

I counted:

Lindberg Blue Devil - Started
Scratch tug - Started
Scratch 12" Puffer - Started
Stand off scale destroyer - Started (this one is for my son)

At the time I was holding in my hand a disassembled Nikko Fireboat of my son's which I have decided (with his consent) to gut and make faster, better looking, quieter & proportionally controlled.

Is this normal? Do others manage to finish one model before starting the next, am I alone in my madness?  ???

Regards,

Grant.

2. One under way ("Havelock") and a possible (read probable) 7' Blue Flue at 1:48. See Model Shipwright no.140...except that I will get the original plans.

I recently made a lsit of jobs in hand:

Repair Brittany Trawler
Fit new speed controller to Sea Queen
Amphibian - feasibility of using RC truck as basis
Start Racing Sparrow Yacht
Draw up plans for
Superstructure for Anglian Sovereign ORSV - use plans for Pacific Buccaneer for Hull (probably half size of plan)
    Dinghy for Trawler
    Steam Tug Mon

Now where do I start?  ???

You can never have too many projects. I'm always slighty suprised when I look at the listing down the side of my blog http://philsworkbench.blogspot.com/ which shows all the things I've built or are building in the last couple of years. Most of them are finished...

Anyway, if you ever run out of projects, you'll die. That's how it works. I'm not kidding - look at the number of people who retire and then die a couple of years later. They simply can't work out why they bother living.

So, keep stacking them up. It's good for you !
