Ebay Boat "what is it?"
« on: January 25, 2008, 10:11:56 pm »

I know there are some knowledgable people on this forum, I have brought a boat off ebay but I do not know who the manufacturer is or what the boat was called. Any help appreciated. Hope to give it some TLC and have it ready for the Mayhem Weekend.

Hi Brian

I also bid on that boat. It really caught my attention but I had to factor in the cost of postage to Australia. It certainly is a smart looking craft, would like to see pics of her finished and in the water.

I do not usually look at boats on ebay just fittings, but like you say it caught my eye also. Once it gets its bottom wet I will post pictures, I will also start a thread on what I did to it.

Hi Brian

That will be great. I always look at the Ebay RC Boats section and drool at some of the ships that are for sale in the UK. Unfortunately the only boats on ebay Australia are those RTR speed boats. I have never seen an RC boat like this one before when you get it could you look and see if it was a kit and inform me.

Hi David
Well the came the boat came today, not sure about giving it some TLC, I think it needed a viking funeral {-) {-) {-). Even my wife said " she did not know you could buy firewood in a box" It certainly was photogenic, close up not so good. I am going to start a thread on its problems and the outcome, just need to sort out the photos. It is certainly a kit, but by who no idea
