Shaft supports
« on: July 08, 2006, 10:57:21 pm »

I am currently building a MMM Nangee and am just about to install the shaft etc. Does anyone know if it would be advisable to insert a shaft support or not. Being new to model boating i am not sure wether this is needed .

cheers

I'm not familiar with this particular model, but I have yet to find a situation where a support was not needed, either at the inside (motor) end, or externally, at the prop end.

furs307c,
I would be suprised if there isn't one already 'there'.  If not, then I would certainly think about one inside the hull, at least.  Haven't seen a picture of the outer shaft and prop so can't say about that end.  Supports never hurt (inside) unless they take up more room than they should.  Good luck.

Why not ring Bryan and ask him?
