Welcome to the Model Boat Mayhem Forum!
IMPORTANT – You will be required to verify your account for first 5 posts only.
For your first 5 posts you will be required to answer security questions. This was introduced to protect Mayhem from bots which continuously bombard the site with membership applications.
On behalf of Martin who owns the Site and the Moderators I would like to say that we hope you find the Forum helpful and fun. You will find a vast wealth and range of modelling expertise available to you. We hope you will share your knowledge. Even if you are relatively inexperienced your approach and any questions you ask may well assist others. Don’t be shy; we have many Members who will tell you that they have found their lack of knowledge accepted and their questions quickly answered.
Members are encouraged to give a brief indication of their location as this often allows Members nearby to help each other and can also assist when recommending clubs or suppliers. Your profile can be readily amended, by adding a location which does not reveal your precise address but serves the purpose outlined above. If you are unsure how to make such an alteration well illustrated instructions are provided in the "Forum News, Updates...." topic or ask any of the Moderators to help you.
The “Search” facility at the top of the Forum home page will be of help. If you are not sure where to look or where to post just put a message in the most appropriate area you can find and a Moderator or Member will happily help you. The Moderators' principal role is to uphold Forum Rules and to keep a very light hand on the tiller. We try to do this consistently, fairly and sensitively.
This is a friendly, open and fully moderated Forum which is visited by young people as well as adults. If you do see anything which you think inappropriate please use the “Report to Moderators” link which appears beneath each post. Your report will be attended to promptly.
We do try to keep the Rules down to as few as possible as we are an informal lot, but do take a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the Forum Rules.
Rules at a Glance,
No off colour humour.
No attacking other members.
No trolling.
No racist, homophobic, sexist, or sectarian comments.
No potentially inflammatory political, religious or other topics.
No posting of copyrighted materials. Any of the above are likely to be removed from the Forum and may, in appropriate cases, attract a yellow warning or red card ban.
Users who wish to sell items must be a Full Mayhemer, ie. 25 contributory post on Mayhem.
A blue typeface is restricted to the use of the Site Owner and Moderators.
The decisions of Martin (site owner) and the Moderators are final.
( Rules in Full: http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2186.msg21366#msg21366 )
A good start in the Forum is to put a short post into the Chit-Chat board telling others about your modelling interests.
You can find the board here: http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=85.0
Good luck, enjoy the Forum.…..
