Title: What do you look like now!

I have been here a while, and talked to many interesting people. As I plan to be around for sometime, I thought, Wouldn't it be nice to see a picture of you modellers.

I would like to start the ball rolling by putting up my ugly MUG. This was taken as I was working on my little boat, during one of my many Tea Breaks.

Don't be shy. Please put up your 'Mug shot'. We can then recognise each other at the Mayhem Gathering and local watering holes

I had a seagull engine on it but i am restoring a 23 year old 9.9 hp Evinrude outboard to put the speed into my boat,I never called it a speedboat when the seagull was on it. Andy M. Your face seems very familiar, did you sail at the Eastnor Model show during 1991,2 & 3? If so we definitely met as I was the mug they talked into running the boating section.Never had any show experience until then. I also used to occasionally visit at Cwmbran club with Mike Davies so we might have met there.

A few other faces seem familiar as well, maybe from magazine show photos.

No, it's in Desolation sound, between Vancouver Island and the Mainland.

Go to Google maps and punch in +50° 12' 0.00", -124° 57' 0.00" and look at the satellite view. What we call God's Country!

And Dicky, it's a nice boat, but far from a yacht!! It's the close one. :D

The info you'll all want to know is that she is called Minttu, and was a 7 month old porokoira (reindeer herding dog) at the time that the picture was taken. She is now almost one year old. If we look a little distracted it is because the picture was taken at a model flying event locally and we were watching a model take off at the time. I was trying to keep her calm as the plane was rather noisy.

I knew it. I was correct when I asked you, when you changed to U33, that it was something to do with the sub that sank in 1918 :o :D 1989 indeed. ::) ::) ::)

Revenge was swift though...after some running repairs during the week, U-117 was patrolling the outer margins of the moored up paddle boat things when a lone goose without an escort came into view. A full salvo of torpedoes was fired, resulting in one very surprised goose and one lost torpedo. I never did find that one, but the goose did take off with a very pronounced list to starboard...
