Hi, Adrian.

Fascinated to see your high tech adjustment to the belt sander tracking (wodden wedge)! I have the same problem with mine but I just jam a screwdriver in it.

This here's me posing with the Patrick Henry after a video shoot for Meridian TV, taken at the Prince Regent Pool, Brighton.

Oh, I forgot to mention....the pic was taken back in 1989.   ooops!

I'd know those paving slabs anywhere! The first RC models I ever saw were boats on Prince's Park in the late (ish) 60s. Even today, I can't make a trip to England without including a nostalgic walk around the pond there.

I knew it. I was correct when I asked you, when you changed to U33, that it was something to do with the sub that sank in 1918  :o :D  1989 indeed.  ::) ::) ::)

Meechingman, I was in Eastbourne in late May this year visiting friends and we went for a walk along to Princes Park, I recognised it from the bird droppings  {-) {-). It's a great venue. The sailors were out in force when we visited.

Peter, wish I'd found this forum back then, we were also in Eastbourne for our annual trip in the last week of May. Filthy weather, wasn't it?

David, we were there the second last week and the weather wasn't too bad. It turned nasty on our last day in London before leaving to come back to Australia. I liked Eastbourne, although the "beach" is not quite what we're used to  ;D

Princes Park...I remember it well. U-117 suffered a major daylight attack there from the local geese squadron, they hate U-boats with a passion! Revenge was swift  though...after some running repairs during the week, U-117 was patrolling the outer margins of the moored up paddle boat things when a lone goose without an escort came into view. A full salvo of torpedoes was fired, resulting in one very surprised goose and one lost torpedo. I never did find that one, but the goose did take off with a very pronounced list to starboard...

Peter - yes, we were told constantly how much better the weather had been the previous week! It didn't help to know that back home in Finland they were enjoying what turned out to be the only unbroken stretch of decent weather this year while we were battling gales and torrential rain in Sussex!

Its a local law in the Eastbourne area that all tourists must be told how amazing the previous weeks weather was.

Sadly the model boat crowd have problems holding the line on this, you can tell by the way they all flock to princes park when theres a nice day ;)

I'll think of all you poor people as we go in to our glorious spring and summer weather here in Lennox Head, on the beautiful north east New South Wales coast  O0

:( :( :( Here the best we can say about today is that as it's raining, at least there's no frost. Today is the day we complete our house move, just the two of us (and dog) loading and unloading all our wordly goods from car and trailer. The Tsekoa kit was given pride of place in the first load :)
