Staged or not, it was a poor role model example for the weak of mind.  I don't really mind them going for their Darwin award, I just don't want them to involve me or mine.

Is it true that a North Korean submarine has gone missing off the country whilst being tracked by the US Navy.

Heard a rumour but can't find anything on the news channels.

Apparently one of their boats has been missing for about five days now; whether this involves the USN remains to be seen, or perhaps not.

It's reported on CNN CBS and the broadsheets.

Brilliant.  Typical of what happens when you ask the British public to name ship  {-)

Also on BBC News:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-35861444

Will the MOD use such a public suggestion box to name the Trident replacement subs ?

Day to day I'm a fairly practical guy but to be honest I love that silly name.
Oh to be the Captain of the RRS Boaty McBoatface. What Captain's surname would best compliment that ship?

I wouldn't fancy trying a mayday call though.
