why is it no matter the time of day or night that when you've spent the time clearing your car and the road around it of the snow and you pop out just for a few minutes you return to find someone else has parked were you where
even though rest of the street is clear of cars .are they hiding around the corner watching /waiting to pounce

Not complaining - doing a roaring trade in snow shovels and rock salt. That's the third person who's been in saying that they have one in the garage, but need one to get at it!
