Now you mention it, I tried four times over the weekend to place an Internet order, went through all the registration process only to be told that "your details don't match those on our records", which seemed weird because I,ve never dealt with them before.
I gave up, vowing to ring them during week, which as yet I haven't done.

I did not know about the break away from prop shop until after I placed my order. If I can get in touch with them I either want my props pronto or a cancellation confirmation.
I have the details of Simon and his new company if you want me to post them?

Ah this is interesting I placed an order on the 13th for a pair of props maybe I should have gone elsewhere? I'll give it a few more days and see what happens then give him a ring If I don't get any joy, I've never used him before is he/ they usually ok?

You're OK, Simon's details are already on the Forum
in another post.
Traders are ok, it's private contact details
that need to be kept off an open forum.

HI Guys hope this may be of interest. I bought this at Ellesmere Port I needed a dummy prop for my Macs Mouldings outboard. Protean design came up with the goods a 8mm 3 blade prop. These props are threaded M2 and are  designed for very small models

I recently tried to order from them,  6 phone calls in 5 days, each time "He is not at his desk at the moment".
Towards the end they gave me his email address and suggested I wrote to him.
Twice, two days running.  Eventually I got a reply but after a week I had ordered something similar elsewhere.
The 4 to 6 week lead is usual for anything custom.

If that's the case then I will cancel too I've not been given any indication that the order would be any longer than the approx 3-5 working days (which it's gone over already) I will ring tomorrow and if not being despatched soon I will cancel, what's Simon's lead time currently?I wonder how much he will charge for 2x 50MM M4 counter rotating props 4 blades

Cool thanks I'll give the prop shop a ring tomorrow and see what's happening then go from there, I'm in no real rush for them so no major if it's going to be another week or so but I would like to know and be given an honest delivery time because if it's 6 weeks I can cancel and order elsewhere  :-))

It is Chris Phillips you need to speak to at prop shop. He was also in a meeting today and chose to finally reply to my email rather than call me back.

Judging by the 6 week delivery it looks to me like they're subbing it out to china  {-)
If they're really so busy they should step up to the mark, bad business  :((

Yes that is poor, and let's face it probably poor quality brass if it's being subbed to China  <*< if I wanted cheap rubbish I would have ordered from there direct still be quicker than 6 weeks

Guys your better going Direct to Simon himself
He started prop shop
And with regards to him being cheaper by £20 or so
It's because he started up to make props for modellers at reasonable cost.

It's seems Propshop is living on the name and old reputation.
its a shame really as the name once stood for a good quality product and you always received a reply
Now not so much.
