Prof,  I think they are tubes of hardener for two part car bodywork filler, the paste part is in the blue tin on the left.  However that is part of my question too, the usual fillers (polyester) would dissolve the blue foam unless protected.  Bassplayer will put us right. :-))

This is absolutely right and as I mentioned above the foam is protected with glass cloth and epoxy. Prof, the final finish is sprayed on with two pack automotive filler.

Thank you Geoff .
Kerkyra ferry has to wait a bit. I had to finish this one as it is an order from a new french company that is going to market it quite soon!

Prof
as I mentioned above I use a sprayed on two pack automotive filler-primer.You can buy it from shops that sell paints and stuff for cars. The smooth finish is achieved by sanding it with a fine grade wet and dry sand paper. The brand I use is called BODY and I'm sure you can get it in Romania. Yes, you can do it with a brush but it will be more work in sanding!

Very nice. What tools are using for scribing and are using a template? The depth seem very consistent.

Here are the tools and tenplate I use. For more complicated shapes I make the templates out of cardboard or tape. For square panels I use the DYMO tape shown in the second photo, works a treat! There are many videos on You Tube showing the technique, just type "scribing"
