MTroniks Sound installation

Hello Ill be attempting to retrofit / install my first sound module in a tug soon and I as the tug was built the terminals of the motors are not easily accessible - can I attach the correct wires to the correct wires of the motors or do they have to be connected to the motors' terminals as the instructions say?

you can connect to the cables that go to the motor anywhere between the Esc and the motor

This should not be a problem.But if you feel you need assurance then contact M Troniks they are very good and do not mind you  calling them.
