Thank you both.
I’m fitting the rest of the fenders this morning.
There’s some more masking up to do for little paint jobs but I’ll wait a few days before putting masking tape on new paint.
There are lots of small details still to make, 7 more lifering mounts for example and possibly windscreen wipers.
I’m thinking of calling her Envy I think it would be funny on the green  {-)

I’m edging towards sailing her at Balne Moor this Sunday if life don’t get in the way

Going for dinner at the now extremely huge Tong garden centre. So I've had to get on with it this morning.
Side and stern quarter fenders being attached. These are from MMM and were not used on my Portgarth but suit this build perfect.

The towing lead got another coat of paint and finally fitted.

Well thank you Hama. It is for sure a terrific subject that Brian (Chipchase) chose and it was immediately most desirable on first seeing it.
I'm happy that you think I've done it justice  :-)  I've done many things through this build for the first time and have no bad memories of disaster.

Still plenty to do depending on how much 5 % equates to, she's pretty big so I can probably get away with starting on painting the Shannon.  O0

Also if my friend at OceanWorks hadn't come up with the drives it would probably still be gathering dust  :-))

Bits to finish
The lower half of these stairs need painting red oxide before fitting the railings.

These vent recesses also red oxide but I could get away with leaving them white.

I'm in a knot with the UJ but will fix it.

Non of the porthole glazing fits because of the paint.
The rib needs finishing
etc etc etc

Well done Andy, she's looking good, hope your sail goes well lots of photos of her on the water  :-))   I haven't been doing anything on the models over the last couple of months but you never know one day.

I’ve managed to fit the glazing to all the portholes.
I had to file the edge of each to allow for the paint.  %%

I meant to add that I weighed the superstructure to find it much less than I’d anticipated at 2.5kg 👌 without the RIB and crane.

I wasn't looking forwards to this but it proved to be no problem.

Balne Moor was a good exercise today.
I was concerned that water might come up the anchor chain ways but this was not a problem.
So little rpm is needed due to the propeller sizes 86mm
I have 180 deg steering and others suggested 360 but in practice I don't need either as tank steering does all the manoeuvring keeping it simple.
Certainly I think 360 is a waste of time and unnecessary.

Firstly video is limited as its impossible to operate and film with only two hands.

I'm grateful for the gear noise as it's clear to hear when you're not in neutral

It was obvious that ESC cooling was not needed. (60 amp units but only drawing 20 amp full power so not even warm)

Thanks but probably  {-)  I'm glad you said that because there are very many fantastic tugs around the world. This is where Facebook is so useful and the translation is pretty good  O0  I'm envious of so many builds across Europe  8)

EDIT I've added video links in the previous post as not all browsers can see an image.

Superb build and I love the sound as it runs, sounds really heavy duty and right for the tug.

Thank you Carl and I completely agree about the sound which is getting better as the gear teeth settle in.

amm-mazing!!! To see it in the pond running so well should make you feel a little proud at least  :-))
You have same radio as I and I'm wondering - with tank steering - what do you use the top pots for? Merely trimming or actual steering. I just
got my tank steering up and running and didn't feel a need for the pots.

edit: oh ... you have azimouth prop system ... is that it?
azimuth
I should shut up already...

Yes Hande they direct thrust in any direction up to 180 degrees. Useful alongside another vessel.
In combination with bow thruster you can travel sideways.
Edit I should have pointed out that the pot knobs are not standard but oversize from eBay

Thank you  :-))

Thank you JA for this, I had to laugh  {-)
