Hi Chris

These are the other pictures as bought. The mast and radar metal work are absolutely stunning which was what attracted me towards the model.

HI Nick well many thanks for the quick reply an the pics are great  these will give me quite a lot of usefull info TO STUDY  :-)) as ive had to use moddelers licence on my hangar bay as my doors open an shut so ive had to raise the roof a bit to get the seaking in an out through the H-DOORS  O0 as tiger had weesex helo's on her before the seaking an the seakings are taller

so a H-door modiforcation  was needed an yes im like you I was a
attracted to it as there was so many things that could be made to work an ive just sent off for a sound system for her from components shop anyway thanks for lookin in on the build an the great pics as on some other forums you normally might get an answer about once a month an that's why im on mayhem at least people talk back an forth which to me is what a forum is all about an hope you manage to get your tiger sorted are you goin to do a thread  ? as id be following as it would be nice to see her come back to life ATB

Chris
I assume you mean me when you say "other gent"  Not sure why you don't believe the evidence of your eyes as to location of the nav light on the 1/1 Tiger, but to refresh here it is again. should help   Nick The image of her floating is I think yours taken a long time ago at Glasgow boat club

Bob

HI again
raflaunches  any chance of seein  a couple more pics from different angles an the flight deck an I see no nav lights fitted on her as ive been told by another gent on here where they are an to me it seem a weird postion to fit them but if they were there then that's where I will fit them  an is this ship a all scratchbuilt model or a GRP HULL  ? :-))

Hi Bob

That’s definitely my Tiger, I recognise certain features from the bits I have left! The model was unfortunately ruined with a heavy handed paint finish which the previous owner had tried to undo but as I’ve found out it’s really tough paint to remove- I’ve been informed that it was real ships paint!

As an aside the pictures of a ship being broken up is of Blake, and I worked on her for a very short while as an apprentice during her refit in Porstmouth where she acquired the hangar. What I found interesting is she is the only ship that I'd seen an expansion joint in the upper deck. You can see it quite clearly in the photo of Blake's upper deck, its the transverse line just before the start of the hangar structure aft of the Seacat mountings.
Boring I know to be interested in such things, good luck with the model.

HI Bob an Nick  yes I was shown this pic by a boaty friend about janury time as I was tryin to get my seaking helo's kits as cheap as possible an he said why not stick a harrier on the flight deck like the pic above.

An I may do yet ok2 but what I was thinkin at the time was well I like to get things workin so with a seaking there is a lot to make work eg. workin main rortars an tail rotars 'an nav lights LED's fitted 'an landin  lights 'an interior lights. But against the harrier it can only have workin nav lights an landin lights so quite a difference there  but I may make the models both so that they can both fit the same gold pickup's  in the flightdeck so I can just swop them around an it will be more instrersting to the public to see two different macheines on the deck. ok2 ;D

As when I had my NIMITZ in shows I had people mostly women comin back an relookin at al the detail on the ship as some women were sayin every time I look at your ship I see something different an then the questions come in a barrage an my wife jen then has to help me out as at times AS there would be severall people askin questions on something different an I went into overload so jen is my P/A to the public lol

... and I am going to work the radars from an old servo that's been made free running powered by the  CTP  that converts 12v down to 5.3 v an I realise I've got the wrong crown-gear in the mast to work the navigation radar so I had to swap it for a bigger yellow one close up of it
