Hi the hull planking is now well on the way just a few pictures showing the first planks glued in place. The infill between them is 1mm plastic strip not the 1mm wood supplied in the kit. More to follow later this week.

Hi Stan.
Just a quickie....what adhesive are you using for the hulls' wood planking and plastic infill strips?

Hi Stan that planking looks lovely - what's the plan?  Does it get a coat of varnish to show it off?  I hope so  :-))

HI MarkT  thank you for comments on the planking I hope to start on the other side tomorrow. Last night I placed a order with C M B for the material to cover the stern section. A visit  to the model shop Leeds this morning to purchase some evergreen plastic strip to make the venetian blinds.

Order in the post from C M B  now down to the Royal Mail.  Just two pictures showing my first attempt at making the blinds a bit of a disaster the second attempt is looking far better. I have had to use thicker plastic strip but it will look ok

Hi Stan, I see what you mean about that first blind. It looked like the window was left open during a Gale  {-) {-)

Blinds look good Stan, they're going to make a big difference to the overall look.

Have a good Christmas.

Today it has been cold and the snow is falling but I've been in the garage doing a little. I have spent most of the day fairing in the props shafts  and p frames also filling one side were the planks meet the bottom of the hull also some work on the front platform.

After a very cold morning I ventured in to the garage once again to carry on sanding the hull but the cold was to much. Just two pictures today  showing the life rings fitted to the top rails. Second picture shows what the model will look like when the side skins are fitted.

HI all the sanding on the hull is almost finished. Hopefully today I hope to plank the stern section and also fit the blinds to one side of the cabin.

Update from today the transom is now planked and the cabin venetian blinds are ready to be fitted. The blinds are painted  cornflower blue pictures to follow when fitted. I have taken the planks on the stern lower than the plan shows hopefully this will make masking the water line easier.
