Hi,

As I mentioned before I adjust the ABC and Mr Richard Simpson help me a lot.
This cause a smaller issue. The new types of the ABC unit won't be compatible with the old one.

So from today:
All the new built ABCs and gauge sensors will be compatible with each other, but not compatible with the earlier versions.
If anybody already have bought an ABC unit from and would like to upgrade his unit to the latest version please contact me.

I will do the modifications free of charge, you just have to send the unit back, with the gauge sensor.
When I did the mods I will return the unit.

If you are happy with your ABC unit as it is, I don't have to do anything with it.
The earlier units must work so they are not faulty.

Bonjour Denes,

Your products are quite interesting to my opinion and I am sure you would interest Eurpean steam passionates like I am.

In this context we use metric measures (6 or 7 or 8 x 0,75 mm, 8 x 1,00 mm are the most cpmmon) so would you produce your products for them.

I agree, some metric pressure sensors would be great.

Ok which do you prefer?
I'm thinking on a adapter from 1/4 40tpi to something metric, please specify the metric size and threads.

If I understand Rafael properly the best would be 8x1mm

Bonjour Denes,

Thank you to be so positively reagent. Based on my experience and my collection, if I have to give one choice, I would say that the first size/thread to offer would be 6 x 0,75 mm, close to 1/4 x 40 but unfortunately not compatible.

It it the one we use the most for accessories like the whistle, the check valve, the gas regulator...

8 x 075 mm or 8 x 1,00 mm are more used for corks.

Hello, as Raphael said, the most often used bushing thread on boilers made by many European (mostly German and French) makers is M6x0,75 (Regner, Wilesco, JMC, Anton etc), so this should be an option. M5x0,5 is also used in very small boilers.

Hi,

Ok I will create some drawings about the adapter one side will be 1/4 40tip the other 6x0.75, this is great because we can use the same 8mm hexagonal brass bar.
It will take a bit of time to have some....

A couple of wrds about the Pressure sensor.

The steam inside the boiler is called super heat steam, which means that the steam temperature is above the boiling point (normally 100 degC), but because the size of the boiler hasn't change the boiling point will be higher and higher as the temperature is raising.

If you interested in a bit deeper please read pages like:
 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_laws
I would highlight the Combined gas law.

Satureted steam pressure by temperature (this is how I set the pressure according to the temperature):
 https://www.tlv.com/global/TI/calculator/steam-table-pressure.html

Here is my short video about the sensor:
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPN9Z0fumv8&ab_channel=DesignDenes
The problem of the different pressure/temperature sensor is the difference in their curve. In the case of Denes Design pressure sensor I use an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient).

As you can see it is not linear, it is exponential, to decoding the measure value I had to use the extended Steinhart-Hart equation, which I wrote into the firmware.
The problem is that each NTC sensor families has their own parameters, if these parameters are close to each other the counted values will be really close to each other and the tempreture/pressure sensors are compatible with each other, in any other case not.
Please check that you are using the right pressure sensor, for the right unit.
