GENTLEMEN
i ordered the tamar 1/12 over a year ago to the succesor of  Adrian,  he sold his business, had a fire and then Adrian text me that they were producing the mouldings, weeks later i asked what the situation was and he answered that my model was in the mouldings.
And then nothing for weeeeeeeeks.
Does anybody have any news of him, his successor?
thanks in advance

Hi Lifeboat Lover - To clarify have you ordered and  paid for a model kit that has not been delivered?

See post below from July 2023

https://speedlinemodels.weebly.com/

Shop or manufacturer?
Thats a good question.
We are both. We make model lifeboat kits and we sell them directly by email/letter too.
Speedline started making lifeboats in around 2001.
Our model range is:
1/12th Severn
1/16th Severn
1/12th Tamar
1/12th Shannon
1/16th Shannon
And............a Brand New 1/12th scale Trent
To keep everyone informed of what we have available and when, we will be advertising here on Mayhem and in Models Boats Magazine.
Very soon we will have our own website too, www.speedlinemodels.com

I see so may negative posts on here about this company - Its such a shame as we need companies to keep our hobby alive.  Having said that from what I've seen on here Speedline just do not step up too the plate.

Tony is advertising on eBay selling Shannon hull and wheelhouse, perhaps you could contact him that way.

gentlemen modelyachtbuilders
NO complaints this time!!!
The hull and cabin have been delivered to my friend in Newark and will be in Belgium next week to arrive on the wharf.
So Tony as well as Adrian have done their best. I have sent them already congratulations.
All the troubles seem to have gone

Hello
Adrian here.
Just to let you all know that Speedline Models can now offer the Tamar kit for sale.
It's the first one we have managed. The 'new' Tamar has the fendering moulded onto the deck and it looks great.  A revised wheelhouse too with sharper corners and dead flat  sides, super looker. Have a look at the photos
The 1/16th Shannon has been revised to make it a little easier to make. It has the fendering all built into the deck moulding too. It has all the detail of the original one with the resin fendering but it saves the cost of the resin fenders, which was a lot. You can reserve one now if you like (don't need to pay until its done). Tony is doing new moulds and these will be finished by the end on the April so hopefully we will be shipping by start of May.
We have remade the Big Severn too and changed a few things that we 'issues' before. The wheelhouse now goes right down to the deck so it fits perfectly onto the hull with a virtually invisible joint.  The big rear boxes are now part of the same moulding. Its not next though.......
That privilege belongs to the new Trent. This is a completely new kit and has some surprising features making it vastly more detailed and a great deal easier to build.
The 1/12th Shannon is well on the way with all the castings done (well almost anyway). Most of the moulds and patterns we lost in the fire.
We now have our website up and running. Its under construction as they say so bear  with us. we are getting there!

A GOOD MORNING GENTLEMEN MODELYACHTBUILDERS
