Never seen one before, but it would make a great (and different ) model, and with the addition of led lighting would look quite something.  :-))

ive also found the same plan at GMS for half the price.  has anyone had experience with ordering plans from them?  They are from St Petersberg.

I agree steamboatphill.  Theres next to no information about the real ship on the net.  All i can find is this http://warfare.ru/?lang=&linkid=2169&catid=303&image=842 which is just a picture of the same model and some overall sizes of the real ship.

If no one has any informtion on this ship could anyone reccommend a hull/ plan already available i could base the build on?  It will be a challenge building that superstructure just using that photo but im an ambitious chap and enjoy a challenge.  My fireboat 39 hull is similar so i could possibly use that plan and modify some of the frames (with lots of guidance from here hopefully) to get a similar shape.  Im considering building to a scale of 1:30 of there abouts which will give me a hull length of about 2m and a beam of 340mm.  I would probably split the hull and bolt together to make transportation easier.  Im not set on building this as theres very little information but like steamboatphill says it would be a ver interesting (and challenging!!) subject.  I think the model would look great on the water!

any help & advice appreciated

hi there had a look at a few sites and they all drew blank. I have found this with most former easter block countries ships there not much out there given the odd few ships. If you are real interested in her i would say get the planes. See if on the plans there is any sub notes ie makes name were she is based etc this might give you the start of a google trail. Other than that not sure. Do you know what country / shipping line she belongs to were she is based . any of these will start to open door. If you do get the plans an email to the plan supplier asking for more info would not hurt . Sorry cant be more help. Try ship nostalgia or some like that some one on there might know more.

I found that info and had a look at the ship builders webiste earlier and its all in russian.  I cant read russion by the way haha.  i emailed www.taubmansonline.com to enquire about the plans from there but they do not have stock on plans (they are obviously very loyal and do not pirate copy plans they recieve) and im still awaiting a reply from gms model building - www.gmsmodeling.pl.ru/home.html.  Ive been on the google trail for a couple days and its very dry.  The ship appears on a few websites but its always the same or less info as what you just posted.

I have done a few rough sketches and scaled off the picture.  I mite manage to coble something together.

why do i like things to be awkward and difficult? haha
