Severn Lifeboat
« on: February 26, 2009, 04:23:42 pm »

Bought the Speedline 1:16 Severn Lifeboat Kit, arrived on monday. I decided the 1:12 version was just too big, and too much money for me!!!!!
Looks a bit  of a challange to put it together. I'm powering it with two Graupner Speed 600 motors, each with a separate speed control ( Viper 20) and  separate Battery packs NIMH 3700's. Decided not to put on  a bow thruster.
The plans are on a CD but I wish a set of full scale printed plans had been included

what format are the planes stored in on the disc, because some printers the type that print plans etc can take computer files and print them out full size if its anything like our local place they charge £2.80 for a plan copy  48 x 48  and the same for printing from files.
may sort your problem out.

My Trent 1:16 arrives on Wednesday :}, cant wait! Speedline models look fantastic but just too expensive for me I'm afraid. O0 This will be my first ever kit so I hope it's as good as some say. If you do a building thread, then I will be watching with anticipation ;).

I'll start a thread once I start building it.  Makes a break from doing all the gunport lids on  HMS Victory
