There are a lot of people who do not trust this website.
They are certainly overpriced.
There is also evidence that suggests you will not get your goods, and the company cannot be traced.

Hi there i have seen this kit built up and it makes a lovely boat. I have not built her but have done other deans kits and I think they are good kits .I have been on board the real Britannia and have a fair few photos ,she is now moored up in Edinburgh as a museum. If you have concerns about rchobby why not order direct from Deans marine.

Doing a google chase for the telephone number came up with

They claim to be "new", but why anybody would want to take over a trading name that has seemingly gathered a poor reputation beats me.
If a kit you like is sold direct by the manufacturer, it makes sense to deal direct - if it is also sold by your LHS, it also makes sense to deal with them, in person and over the counter.

In general, manufacturers prefer you to buy from their approved stockists rather than than direct as this helps to support the modelling trade generally. Order from a well established supplier like Westbourne and you will get independent advice and support if you need it. Although, at the end of the day, a sale is a sale.

The kit being from Deans is what I was after. Thanks for that info. It was just one of those that I haven't run across before, and found it interesting. It's too bad that shipping from a UK vendor to the US, usually costs more than the kit. Loyalhanna Dockyard usually sells the UK produced kits here in the States, but unfortunately the shipping cost is of course passed along to us consumers.
 You Brits have all the really good stuff on your side of the pond. You lot are truly blessed when it comes to kits offered.
By the way, I'm on this forum so much lately, that I'm beginning to pick up your vernacular. Notice I said "you lot', vice "you guys"?
