HI all,I am at present making a Robbe Paula111 which is a scale of 1:25, I would like to make this a bit different by adding a wooden deck and wood around the superstructure.
so what width of plank would i need for a 1:25 scale model? I was thinking around 7/8 mm width, many thanks :-)

Hi Lezz

At this scale 1mm is, as near as makes no difference, equivelant to 1 inch. How wide were the original planks? I would have thought 5-6 inches giving 5-6mm. However, what looks right to me might not to you. When I planked my Brittany fishing trawler, I experimented with some spare ply and planking to get an idea of suitable width and caulking methods. For the latter I used black cartridge paper.

HTH  Good luck

ye thanks doug, I might get some planking and just play around see what looks OK, after all we all like playing around :D. Orion Moulding make planking in sheet form might have a look at that.
