Bow thruster advice sought
« on: June 27, 2009, 11:56:09 am »

I am fitting a Raboesch bow thruster to my current project and am seeking some advice from members who may have used them. Sholuld I use some form of sealant, such as paraffin wax, on the seal between the motor mount and the blade housing or are the screw clamps sufficient?

Thanks in anticipation

Not sure about if your BT is a paddle or prop type but I have taken my BT apart in Tito several times and had no problem when refitting I just use some petroleum jelly around the sealing edges.

my one is the paddle type.

Use petroleum jelly myself, It won't attack the seals either.
