 i bought one of these kits when they first came out it was an amazing to  put out got some
funny looks as it flew up on the foils i later time sold it to a mate who sunk it what a same
but i still think of it now and again when i see one on ebay

I have seen these Gungze Sangeyo kits go for as high as £350.
Tried to get one for £150 once, but it had a high reserve on it. The
seller relisted it and sold it for  £250

They were coming out of Korea regularly for a year or two, but have since stopped.

I did get copies of the auction pictures... ::)

Just been watching an P.T50 hydrofoil  (kit) on e*ay and winning bid is was £264 :o
Has anyone got any idea how much they were when they first came out?

At that price, its getting pretty close to one of the RTR foils from Scalespeed http://www.scalespeed.com/rhs_en.htm  :D

Has anyone bought a boat from Scalespeed?

I fancy the 'BABOCHKA Soviet Hydrofoil Warship'.  Something that's fast with detail to scare the pants of the sedate scale modellers at the local pond.

 I got on off the scalespeed hydrofoils they are fantastic. However the Babochka will cost you an arm and a leg it has about 6 motors and is special order only.

As for success, .... still working on that too.. ::)

Umi,

How is the build going? Would love to see some internal shots of her to see how she is made up. Any success on the water yet?

Surprisingly, no!  Ran well on first set up!
It's "nicely" over powered with 7.2 or 8.4 volts and a 540 and it's very light so makes for a good craft.
