I had the saloon version of this car a couple of years ago. Brilliant car. A stunningly huge boot (with rail-mounted bag-holder-thingy, ideal for trips to Tescos - or small boats) and - like I see there - a flap into the rear seats "for your skis". Which fit in a collapsible bag, to prevent water dripping onto the sumptuous leather interior. "Or for longer hulls", I thought, mischievously.
The car was superb - cruise control, a joy to drive, a pile of gadgets, a huge fuel tank and a million miles per gallon of diesel, for example - until its first major service. "We really ought replace the timing belt, Sir. And while we're at it, the oil pump belt." All this stuff is hidden under a bonnet under the bonnet, so the owner doesn't have to look at such monstrosities as an engine.* "Fine, go ahead." I said.
One £500 bill later, we decided to sell up and buy something cheaper to maintain.
But I hope you enjoy the vehicle - I'd have one again. (If I win the lotto).
Andy
* Maybe all modern cars have stuff like this. I won't know until they're about ten years old.
