Older Stuart 501 double burner (overkill)

Just acquired an older Stuart boiler and burner but the double burner is way to strong for my needs is there anyway of temporarily closeing or stopping one side of the double burner any info would be helpful thank you.

You could fit smaller jets so limiting the gas flow, or regulate down the Gas supply. Another way would be to blank off one jet. Use soilder? John

Sorry mate i should have mentioned i have a double Meths burner it cant be soldered .
