Well finally getting there
Topdeck is now moulded just needs trimming and will add some wood to back it up ,just gotta leave it now for a week or so to fully cure before splitting and prep the bottom for moulding

Made 1st hatch for this build,only thin layup to break in the mould but also 1st time test fit and check clearances round the engine ,fits nice and clearance is not an an issue so pretty happy

Also now moulded the bottom of this build,fingers crossed releases ok in a week or so ,then wont be long before laying up and pulling the 1st hull

Having really good day today and very happy
Released the 48" X-cat moulds even the plug/hull came out on 1 piece lol
Ill spend a couple days now wet sanding and polish them all up

Got them all wetsanded and polished up ready to start waxing
Hopefully layup 1st hull next week

Layed up 1st hull and joined just leave it few days now to cure,hopefully will release ok and ill start building it up ready for testing

Just placed engine and exhaust in hull while still in moulds so while letting it cure I can make a start on the stringers and transom plate and check clearances

Modified the exhaust to get a better tune length

Moulded new hatch Monday and released today and started trimming it up using original build,fits nice so pretty happy so far

Started fitting hardware,finished the stringers & transom plate and setting out for correct CG placement

Stringers & transom plate now fibreglassed in and sorted radiobox so thats ready to fit in

Coming along nicely, all cutting and drilling is now done
Final trimmed hatch opening Cut and fitted stainless scoops, 1 short but on order haha
Grab handles,exhaust and water outlets fitted, holes drilled for cooling pipes
Front hatch hold down tab done

Start installing everything now

Starting to install everything now Fuel secured and pipe work sorted,installed rudder and cooling pipe,made a piece to hold cooling and filler side of fuel pipes tidy and away from exhaust & engine rails in

F1...the outer edge/length/diameter of the exhaust tune pipe would appear to be in close proximity to the hull side wall

We see a small amount of 'fire sleeve' on the exhaust manifold [is it only protecting the water cooling tubing?]....but will the hull get any additional heat protection?..............Derek

Theres plenty of room round it bud theres about 2.5" between the exhaust and side of the hull aswell ,just pics dont show it clearly

Started the engine for 1st time ,2nd pull it fired straight up so well pleased ,no major issues

Will get an idea of how shes runs on sunday but breaking in new engine so will be steady racing
Boyd also racing the 38" V2 cat aswell so will be fun day setting up and sorting out
