Had an old mini when I was young lad WSD247,  learned a lot on this old motor as it required one thing after another.Other than renew the front suspension cones I think I've repaired or work on everything on it even welded new sills.

I did like the indoor swimming pool inside the car in the wet weather l.o.l  :)

Me being a little to big to fit in a Mini. I opted for the Austin 1800. Sort of like a Mini on steroids. But I have always loved the Mini.

I had several Minis, including a Cooper Car Company road 1275S (factory black), an 850 racer, and a Minisprint, but never really got on with them. Thought the 998 Imp was nicer to drive.

But the 1800... Built a replica works Land Crab with full race MGB engine. With works suspension and a rear anti-roll bar, you could follow an Elan into a corner with equanimity.

Its more down to the painting process with ST Orange than the paint.

White base coat, orange top coat and then a mist pearl coat and a couple of clear coats.

All in water based and cooked good and proper

We have painted a few and not had too many problems.

Just about to paint a mates Makara in ST Orange with the white rally stripes.

My memory stretches back to 100e, 105e, 109e, and even 116e, but what was 2772e?

Keep it up, you'll get there! I look at it this way, if you do one job a day on your car, no matter how small and insignificant then you will have done 365 things to it in a year... now thats a lot of jobs.
