Tamiya Enterprise, 1/350th scale, just over a metre long...and easy to convert to r/c. Plenty in the shops or eBay, round about £100-130 depends on where you get it from. I've just started one, got it from Shrewsbury Model Centre.

Trumpeter do various 1/350 kits starting at £69 or nearest offer ..they do the Hornet, Saratoga etc

if you want a larger carrier USS Hornet 1/200 scale by trumpeter close to 53 inch long plenty room for radio Bill....

Southern Cross Models of Victoria (Aust)  http://www.southerncrossmodels.com.au/  does several carriers in 1/72 scale.
