Painting the bridge

Hello all,
I'm  building a pilot boat and am wondering what is the standard colour I should use for the inside of the bridge? If it is white(walls and ceiling) the is it normal to paint the ABS plastic as it is already white. The outer surface will be orange.

Plastic with a layer of paint lasts longer, the paint makes a nice UV barrier.  White plastic tends to discolour noticeably in sunlight, coloured plastic probably does the same.  The paint also helps seal the surface against the plastic losing its more volatile components over time.

Google "pilot boat wheelhouse images" and you will get a selection of views of different boats. Mostly light colours but not bright white throughout. Take you pick!

Ok guys,
Pointers gratefully received, I will check out the images out. From memory, I have been on the bridges of about 6 boats, I think the merchant ones were white, and the RN grey. I'll mull it over, but will go for white, as I already got that paint in stock.
