Hi all. Just about to start to build my Sir Lancelot from Mountfleet. I am wondering what size motor I should use be it brush or brushless,
I am not concerned more of what size would be suitable. I have had a  look through some of the posts on Sir Lancelot but couldn't find any
mention of motor size. Thanks in advance

This would be my choice, it's like an MFA Torpedo 800, but with manners!

I have built 4 Mountfleet Kits and use either a Mabuchi 555 or Mobile Marine Models T12. The 555 is listed at £9 from Component Shop, without mount, whereas the T12 is £47 with mount. Considering the size of the Sir Lancelot I would go for the T12. I consider it a superb motor, quiet, bags of torque.
It may seem expensive but, as often been said on this forum, when you spend a lot of money on a boat don't skimp on a cheap Chinese motor. Lancelot is going to work out at four figures by the time you have electrics and paint taken into account so I would not skimp and save £20 or so on a motor.

Must agree with Buccaneer here  .....if you were to also bring motor current draw into the total electrical equation, the T12 motor will essentially lower the overall requirement/cost and provide inherent reliability with increased running time duration over a 555 Series motor

The T12 motor is also well suited to a larger slower vessel you propose....

Newer design, smaller, quality engineered cost effective, higher speed, lower torque etc, etc brushless motors are an excellent choice for many applications, but not a Mountfleet Sir Lancelot

No need for a 16 page technical evaluation analysis between the 3 different style motors.....just think about the old Chalk & Cheese adage.....
