Bonjour monsieur Malcolm BEAK
« on: September 13, 2025, 09:09:04 am »

Bonjour Malcolm,
I haven't had the honor of being introduced to you, and I've discovered through this forum that you're still alive  :-))

I also discovered that you share a lot of plans.

As a French steamboat and boat enthusiast, I'm fortunate to have a substantial fleet and many peripheral accessories.

In this context, I discovered that I had acquired a regulator built on one of your plans: https://youtu.be/GHh4i-dugiQ

Thanks to them, a friend repaired it : https://youtu.be/OyelYI4li4c

I take the benefit of your presence here to ask you a technical question :

On many of my gas attenuators (regulators ?) https://youtu.be/2tK4TV4wb44 I I have a small specific screw that allows me to adjust the idle power I want.

There is no one on yours, so how do yo you manage the idle ? Would the gas stop if the steam pressure increases too much ?

Besides this, I meet Martin BAYLIS when he comes in France, do you know him ? And French great vaporists like Adrien SENTZ (alive, member in my club), Bernard RETIF, Jean-Rolan SANDT, Jean-Marc CLOUP, Fabrice BRETAGNE...?
