Wicksteed club will be there tomorrow morning bright and early for the setup, got Martin’s tent and all the coffee cups for the weekend. Boats almost ready to go. Whilst I thought I couldn’t make tomorrow I’ve managed to escape Brize and will ready to go as usual.
Don’t worry Klunk- the BBQ is clean and ready for action- will drop it off in the campsite at 0900 to 0930 tomorrow morning as we go around putting up the direction signs. :-))

I’ll be around 11:30 after an Esso and a Morrisons stop
My reconnaissance party inform me it will be quiet and so can park near the zebra crossing which leads to reception  :-))

Ah! Sorry, forgot to say, We'll be using the smaller marque, same as we used last year again...... sorrrrreeeeeee?!

 We'll be coming Saturday morning.

I have a bag of somewhat dusty and partially discoloured set of parts to build your own. The kit was a shed find and was acquired with the idea to build, but interest has waned.
Hull and deck/superstructure colour is opalescent white. Components include motor, propshaft, coupling, prop, rudder,  tiller, propshaft oiler, decal sets. There are no instructions (never found) and the rudder post is missing.
If interested I'll bring it along. It'll be 'cheap as chips' !

Just taken me five and a half hours to drive to hotel from Surrey. M25, M1 and A1 all virtually blocked. Just hope the beer in the pub is OK.  >>:-(


Holiday weekend is not ideal for this sort of trip.

It took us about the same to get here from Sussex, can currently be found rocking back and forth muttering the words "queue, caution" over and over.

Some consolation though as my four year old daughter spent the entire journey asking "when can I see the model boats, daddy"
