Very useful!  O0  O0

Can you please do one for a non-BEC ESC (or a mechanical SC), with a BEC-enabled receiver taking it's power from the motor drive battery, powering a single motor?

Unless someone knows better, BEC receivers should not be used above 7.2 volts nominal (6 cell nicad pack).  RX makers are happy to put a BEC sticker on the case, but are remarkably shy about just what their built in BEC is capable of.  If the main battery is 6 volt, that is what model radios were designed around in the first place (4 dry cells or 3 lead acid cells, both 6 volts, a happy co-incidence), so no extra components are needed.  Higher than 6 volts, several manufacturers offer a separate BEC, either kit or ready-built.

its identical to the bec type esc, however the red wire isn't pulled from the servo-plug on the esc.

Maybe I confused you - the receiver would have no separate battery pack here - it's getting it's power supply from the motor drive battery (because the receiver is BEC enabled).

Well, the diagram in Reply #6 has an extraneous receiver battery/connection, compared to diagram in Reply #2.

thats because I was using a bec type esc (Mtroniks VIPER 15 for example), when you run this type of esc with a seperate battery for the rx, you must remove the red wire from the servo-plug, hence the red wire being shorter than the other two.  a relay or mecanical type esc doesn't feed power to the rx and so needs to have all 3 wires in place as the relays are powered by the rx power source.
