Struggling with a scratch build of a 40' Keith Nelson at 1/12 scale.
Waiting for better light in my shed but managed to complete the 'Reeds Nautical Almanac' indoors.
Still trying to figure out the best way to do 1. the piping on the wheelhouse cushions. 22. the stainless steel handrails.

building a scratch build northwestern..ive taken the gas of the pedal in recent months due to work comitments, i also had shed and work area issues as i couldnt move with kids bikes and crimbo pressies.

i started to glue together a maggie m as it could be done inside the house......now i have a near emty garage having aquired a lockup for storage......i can commence with both builds.

there was already a maggie m build thread so didnt bother, however my version is more like the vessel as she is now

Surely time to revive this thread after nearly 2 years! %).  I can't be the only one?
Following weeks re-fitting my HMS Swiftsure and Gaff-cutter Moonbeam, my late winter challenge has been the Aerokits 'Sea Hornet' which has taken me 3 weeks to get this far. Being unused to older kits I found the plans a bit confusing(and wanting!) but with a bit of 'bashing' I am getting there. She will be named 'Wind In The Willows' so my 4 intended crew members are getting excited!

I have an original Sea Commander that I need to get back to, and a Thames lighterage tug but I got a 1/350 Tamiya USS Missouri for Christmas to convert to USS Iowa and motorise.

So many models so little time, I think I need to retire to get them all done

Would love to do a tug of some description or a huntsman 28.... Decisions!!

Almost done with my Phamtom the water is to hard to do trials on.

Quick project is ˝ way it's a Robbe Lightning 46.

Cleaning out the workshop to make room for the next project which will be a 1/10 PCF

On top of that I'm installing electronics in to my wife's Billing Boats Coast Guard so she can move on with that build.

I also have a started build of Jenny from Aero naut that has to have some attention.

Half way through a 30 inch scratch-built Tyne class life boat.   Probably take another 6 to 7 weeks.   Pete

Well since I retired I have resurrected these two from the attic, stripped them and kept the best hull, the other was scrapped but I should have put it on Ebay! <:(

The current state of refit is seen in the second photo, not only a refit but it is being built as a completely different ship altogether, its ongoing build isdocumented in the tug forum.
