Ellesmere Port spring show - 7th and 8th of march
« on: January 05, 2009, 10:10:42 pm »

Right guys a bit of an update this show is definitely happening on the 7th and 8th of march 2009 O0
Held at the museum run by the Ellesmere port model boat club. entry is £3.00 per day show starts at 10am till 4pm sat and 10am till 3pm sun. club stands will be in attendance (if your club would like to attend please email [email protected] as soon as poss as places are filling fast) on the water displays by the tug tow lad's will be going on until they freeze  {-) and of course you are welcome to sail your own boats or if you fancy having a go at tug towing why not try with one of my boats with the help of our friendly tug towing Capitan's we have put on some very big ships for you to tow two of which are over 14 feet long, the Hudson bridge and the san George. the trade are coming in force (yes there coming back to the the museum) some of which are Read models,SHG,Mobile Marine models,Model power,Mac's moulding's,Shipfinder general,MMB,Mount fleet models and a few more that i will update you with when i remember them and they confirm  :embarrassed:. AS usual there is a great cafe in the museum with boat trips up the canal too at a very small cost. I hope i have done this to a satisfactory standard for you all.Ihope  you can attend what will sure to be one of the best starts to the season with some great models, people and traders (not that you traders are not people  :}).
Any problems or questions ether email the show email or mine

Thanks Steve (ministeve)

Hello Ministeve,

If you could find a bit of water for me to sail my Schooner, Bluenose on, that would be very nice !.
I have always enjoyed sailing at the Museum.

The Wirral Model Boat Club will be well represented. It will be good to be back on the water there and have trade stands to visit as well.
Good luck with what we hope will be the first of many. :-))

Hi guys, it is great that this show is back at the boat museum and I was fully hoping to be able to go, but, unfortunately due to work load Sirmar can not attend this time, but, we may make an apppearence briefly on the Saturday, funny old thing this game, we have never been so busy, sorry to ministeve and the rest of the organisers, but, we have not got enough time to generate enough stock for a trade stand at the moment.

We WILL be at the next one if you will have us.

:-))Thanks Ministeve for all the hard work you must be putting in to make this show happen. Hopefully about a dozen of the Derby M.B.C  boys will be there to support the show over the weekend and we are really looking forward to a show once again at this great venue.
Just off to empty the piggy bank  as I am sure there will be plenty of traders who will easily part me from my dosh. {-)

Best wishes and thanks.I am sure your efforts are appreciated by all who enjoy our hobby. :-))

                                                       Regards Andrew (Balders)

thats a great idea Dave i will try that specially as i will be there thurs,fri,sat,sun and Monday  {:-{

Anyhow i have sorted out one idea i wanted to make happen. i have got 3 video cameras mounted to our Hudson bridge a fifteen foot model tanker all will be videoed and multiplexed onto one screen to be viewed in one of the exhibiting rooms or one of the trader rooms. pending the very expensive av link arriving and being tested. This will allow people to view the on the water fun from inside the designated room all warm and cosy
hope to see you all there

Hi all

I've just got to say how happy we are that the show is back at the Boat Museum, with most the core traders attending too!  It should be like old times!

I've been busy manufacturing fittings all weekend, and will be up until the event.

We've just taken delivery of a load of BECC's 2009 catalogues, lots of new products to see in there, and plenty more coming throughout the year.  I have a feeling that it's going to be a great show, and we're really looking forward to it.
