Hi. Stonker

V.S. Tanks are the European export for Marui.

They just dont say Marui on the underside. They are exactly the same models .

Hen Long are a much cheeper model and the quality is not as good as V.S. or the Marui but they are catching up.

I have a 1/24 V.S M1A2 Abrams, plus a few more tanks.

Hope this is of help.

Regards Sub.

Hi Stonker,as Sub Driver says these VS tanks are very good,i,ve got the 1/24th scale early production Tiger, and its a great little tank, its got sound hull and main cannon recoil machine gun fire, metal gun barre, and i,ve fitted the metal tracks, the one i,ve got does,nt fire bbs its an interactive one and at £79,99 it well worth it,
you can also get the new Forces of Valour 1/24th scale Tiger or Sherman, which can fight each other and knock each other out,i,ve seen them on ebay at £69.99 there also bringing out the Kingtiger and a KV-1

The one in the Pic Martin is not a VS tank, its the Hen Long Leopard 2 A5, its only got 6 sets of Road Wheels, Thats Prob why it only cost £35, the VS Tanks are more accurate with the correct 7 sets of wheels and are more sturdily built. ok2

Check out the link and you will see the quality and accuracy differences

Just for info.

Yep, Bernie the Bolt was the dude on Bob Monkhouse's Golden Shot.
100 points if you can remember the name of Bob's blonde airhead co-presenter.

Anne Aston?

My grandad told me .....  %)

Danny

bit more -
The Golden Shot
There were numerous gaffes on the show, which was always billed as downmarket. It also had the added problem that - being a phone-in, it had to be a live show.
One studio contestant managed to knock herself out while on the toilet. A clergyman who had criticised the show for being unsafe was invited to the studio, only to be hit by a bolt that ricocheted off the studio lights. Another stray bolt hit a female contestant, who was saved thanks to her shoulder pads. One contestant couple went for a cup of tea during the live show so the hostess had to grab some quick replacements and introduce them to the unknowing host. And on one famous occasion, as recounted in Bob Monkhouse's autobiography, it was discovered that a phone-in contestant was trying to direct the crossbow from a telephone box and looking across the street into a TV shop.

Advertised on our TV here(Germany) is a Panther as a kit, 1\16 scale, comes in bits every 14 days, a bit like the Bismark model. The finished model looks good, has full interior, they don't say iof it can be motorised or it is just a static model. also how many Magazines you have to buy!! The first couple of Issues are only 2 Euros, and can be bought from the Newsagents, the rest need to be by Subscription. My wife built a Dolls House from a similar Series, took 2 years all told, but was quite good, the accessories were worth the money,it was complete with all furniture and interior lighting, not to mention the building. Wasn't perfect but was a good introduction to the Hobby.

I would personally steer well clear of any Hatchett partworks, I started the flying scotsman etched brass kit and it turned out to be a nightmare from the start.
I ended up taking legal action against them for supplying a product that was not fit for purpose and not the product advertised.
I got my money back too :)

See here

The first post gives you an impression of whats in store

They might have improved but I know of many people who would never do another partwork from hachette

I also built the deagostini spitfire... that on the other had was a much better build :) flies nice too
