Apparently, if you own any kind of lifeboat these days you must publicly confess and then pay a fine..see Reply#17..at a Gallery near you...

My lifeboat is 55 years old
and a proper lifesaver

She is very expensive to run
and hard to service

but I knew all that when I
married her

I am willing to pay the 'fine' lads
whenever I get her permission {-)

Don't you think there should be a fine for forum members that do not possess or have never built a lifeboat too. I am guilty on both counts, so I will pay 20 pounds towards the gas, OOP'S Petrol, or one leg of the drive if that is O/K. Tell me which leg. Where do I send my fine. Mick B. PS = Post a map of the route & show which legs are sponsored & the ones still waiting for a sponsor,I bet it will be sold out in a week or two. Good Luck all the way.

NORSEMAN...we will graciously allow you to pay the fine on the assumption that your good lady's permission is In The Post...

IRISHCARGUY....an excellent suggestion which closed off a huge hole in our fast developing rules, which now are....

RULE #1:  If you own or have ever owned anything which in any way shape or form could be mistaken or even suspected of being a lifeboat, you must pay a fine at the link below or at the Great Lifeboat Picture Gallery ont Model Boating page.

RULE #2: If you are guilty of the heinous crime of never or not currently owning a lifeboat as defined in Rule #1, you must pay a fine as above.

RULE #3: If none of the above apply to you, for the avoidance of doubt you must pay a fine anyway.

All fines payable to:          http://virginmoneygiving.com/RyanBlessingtonRNLI2012 .

Happy giving!  %% %% %% %%

Ah so you are then guilty of the possession of a non-lifeboat :o under Rule #2 (modified) as well as me already having you bang to rights under Rules #1 and #3...and those are just the ones we know about!   :police: :police: :police:

Hello all, I'm back on the plant, I have been working away a lot and also off getting married so thought I would have a month away in Florida. Now I am back my attention is back to raising money, a very quick update, so far I have the car, accommodation and the full money so I am set to go late July early August. Sponsorship is reaching near £500 but still a little way to go, I raised £207 today so this will be added on. If any one would like more info please get and the sponsorship page is still going strong. I will be setting up a live blog page over the next month so everyone can follow the trip.
Thanks Ryan

Ah well, if you don't get as much as you need in sponsorship, the RNLI would appreciate the £507 you have already which is a perfectly good amount to donate !!
