Hi guys and gals,

The date has now been set, I will set off on the 24 Aug over the bank holiday...

I have amended my page to show total donations to date, which is a brilliant £515... I have amended my target to £999 which I hope is more achievable...

I have everything I now need and good to go, all I do need is sponsorship. I would be most greatfull if you could share my just giving page with any of your friends and family and also on your Facebook or twitter page if you have one....

Many thanks Ryan   :D

Just a quick note to say if anyone would like any specific pictures of any of the boats to let me know I am will do my best to get them, I will be going to every station in England so should not be an issue.

On the count down now, really looking forward to the challenge and doing some more fund raising.

Do you have a firm itinerary yet - if so I'll try and be at one of them stations for a bit of support.

Hello Ryan, Are you calling at New Brighton lifeboat? If so, and your itinerary allows, Wallasey Model Boat Society is holding a fund raising day on Sunday 19th August, our local lifeboat blokes are getting involved, two or three of them are going to be towed around the lake by the tug boys, and I think their RIB will be on display.
Regards,
Nick. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Hi, how is this going to work? I assume you will have to let the individual stations know when you are to be expected, which means you will have an itinerary,so could you please publish it on here? Interested Mayhemmers would then know when to go along to their local station to give you some support?
Thanks.

Hi Nick,

Yes I will be calling at New Brighton however I do not start the challenge until the 24th Aug so I will miss the show. Shame as it sounds like a good do.

Hi Mick,

Not sure how to take the first question, but basically I will be busting a gut to travel round all the stations in England in a short time scale. I have full contact with the RNLI and all is arranged. There is a provisional itinery at the beginning of this thread but as I said to Dave it is a work on my pc so will post it. Monday.

Thanks ryan

Hi Ryan, pity you cant make the event on the 19th, any idea when you will be passing through New Brighton? Let us know so that some of our society members can come and cheer you on. Our lake is only a hundred yards or so from the lifeboat station, and I can heartily recommend the hand raised pork pies from Morrisons across the road, baked fresh a couple of times a day.

Nick. :-)) :-)) :-))

Ryan,
I posted my request for an itinerary before you posted the reply that you will be doing so on Monday. What I meant by the first part, was that I heard of someone who had done much the same as your plan, and that at some of the Stations he visited there was nary a soul there to greet him! Which is why I said I assume each Station has been informed of your visit? Even the mechanics at the stations have to go home sometimes!

Perhaps a little help from the Mayhemers would be in order, ie, once the date for each stations visit has been fixed, somone could pop down to their local RNLI Station an give them the heads up as to what is happening. Just a thought, what do you think Ryan? :-)) :-)) :-))

Good morning guys,

Apologies for the lateness of the post, work seems to have taken over at the moment so not had time to do much in the way of boating.

Below is the how the trip will be conducted, obviously the ones at the top of each day will be started in the morning and as the day progresses so will the time. I am sorry I cannot be specific with the times; it will just have to be guessed. However, if any does want to attend any (which would be greatly appreciated) please ask I will give you my contact info.

Any further donations would be appreciated; I am up to £555 but would like to raise a lot more.

Thanks Ryan

If you could just pop up your start times for each day it would help us all with your  ETA's
I'll try and make it to New Brighton.         GO RYAN >>>>>>>>>>>> :-))

For anyone wanting to give - donating is really easy - http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/RyanRNLI2012 - and you can give them the tax too  :-))
