It could be construed as such.

Because they are 'private' listings his 'mate' can bump the bids and if his 'mate' inadvertenly wins, the mate defaults, and seller relists the item.

Won't achieve much as eBay favour sellers particularly if they have a shop, are power sellers, etc because they pay for that privilege.

Not to mention, you as the complainant, must prove it, as mentioned before then you are in the wrong and not fleabay if it is deemed unfounded. O0 O0 %% %%

Stopped selling on fleabay.

Use Gumtree or Oztion instead.

Oztion (Oz auction site, fleabay similar) no fees to list and nothing to pay unless sold.

Hello Shipmates and I have just being reading this thread from start to finish. I do not know what you are doing Rottweiller but matey I just went through the Ebay channels and won a case against a seller for 2 things . 1 incorrect advertising of the item and 2. abusive language and putting 3 unpaid item cases against me. I admit it took me a while to win this case but I did not let go. I know how you feel as I kept getting different Ebay operators but each time I replies I just CC 'd all operators I had talked to and in 3 days finally got a result and the seller so I was informed got a severe reprimand. They did not get barred but they did get the unpaid strikes put onto them with bad publicity. I also got a reprimand for my comments in the feedback of that seller which they removed but did not take away the bad reports. So mate do not give up if you think it is important enough and also for the general community beware the next purchaser to be abused and dudded. = Armo61

But not Oztion, however, give them time, as it has already been bought by Carsales.com

After all you don't beat your competitors by being competitive you make them an offer they can't refuse.

Just looked at our 'abusive seller's' items It would appear that 'corgi-bob has one extremely keen bidder, who currently holds top place on six of his auctions. Not anyone on here is it?...

Andy
How did you get the bid id as the bidding is private ?.

I think he is referring to 2***1 the bidder in each case.

Comes up as a private listing on my screen - no-where
does it indicate 2***1 is bidding?- Now that would be interesting if so.

it reveals if you make a bid, or sometimes if youve been watching it long enough ( not always)

it still has letters missing, but you can see feedbacks etc and work it out

The top bidder shows up on the Android phone app all the time.
If you go to 'Bidding Activity' it shows as private listing.
Gry Maritha is showing a high bidder s***i

Sorry guys, I forgot to mention that the info is freely available via www.goofbid.com - It isn't as good as it used to be (when it was goofbay), but still worth a look.

I note that most of the auctions by corgi bob are now over, and that the main attraction the Gry Maritha, was not pulled at the last moment. The one I bid on as a trial to see what happened,I got a notification saying my bid had been refused.I wonder if we will see any of these yet again, as the Gry actually only fetched £5 more this time than it did last time.

I'm quite surprised that your bid could be 'refused'? How does that occurr?
I'm learning plenty about ebay 'life' from this thread!
I know sometimes items get pulled if someone contacts seller with an offer
but then thats not in accordance with the rules is it?

What rules? The rules are as eBay interprets them. They are designed for eBay to make money. If you are making money for them, good, if not, bang, bad bad

Any seller can refuse/block any bidder for whatever reason.

It is called offer and acceptance, you offer, make a bid, seller accepts, no doesn’t have to. No different than you going into a store and the store keeper refusing to serve you. It is the seller’s item to dispose off as they see fit.

As a seller, I always checked the ‘history’ of bidders and blocked/refused problem bidders, even shops and power sellers. Also you can determine who are resellers, or genuine buyers, by their bidding history and recent purchasers.

 Hi Raarty,
that is the case with me also, that I check on the sellers history, which is usually reliable. In this case the sellers rating was 100%,so it aint always true!

Did these boats reach a price that will sell, or do you think we shall see some next week...?
