Hi, Go to your local bike shop, if you want heavier ones go to a motorcycle shop, simples. nemesis

Our local model shop who sells model aircraft and aircraft spares has a 1 metre Control Rod Set Cable Type. This contains an outer sleeve an inner cable and 2 solder ends. You just cut to length and solder the ends on.

SHG sell plastic and nylon variants which are much cheaper, and better for most model boating applications, than those to be found in most model shops.
